ICAEA Workshop: Aviation English Training for Operational Personnel

“Meeting the language training needs of pilots and air traffic controllers”

Santa Maria Island, The Azores – 29th & 30th April, 2016

During the 2-day program, attendees joined presentations on key topics and participated in interactive workshops. The exchange of ideas and experiences was lively and enthusiastic. As a result of feedback from all participants that this was one of ICAEA’s most successful recent events, we are planning similar format workshops in the future.

ICAEA is very grateful to all our sponsors who did much to ensure the success of this event – especially APPLA (Portuguese Pilot’s Association), and SATA Airlines Training Centre who hosted the event.

ICAEA’s Aims

The International Civil Aviation English Association (ICAEA) seeks to improve standards and promote greater understanding of English language usage in all areas of the aviation industry: in flight operations, air traffic and airline management, customer service and the training sector.

Operating as an non-profit organisation, ICAEA provides a forum for the exchange of expertise, experience and ideas, and an annual program of events to raise awareness of English and its role in aviation safety, service quality and industry efficiency.
